THE ANGAN JOURNEY

Welcome to ANGAN and takk (thank you in Icelandic) for stopping by our new blog. I’m Iris Laxdal, Founder of ANGAN Skincare - the wild, clean and conscious beauty brand inspired by the incredible rituals of Iceland that have been used for centuries to nourish and cure the skin.

Beginning in 2016, my mission with this special brand is to develop high performance eco-chic products of unparalleled quality and efficacy. I was originally working as an architect, but a herniated disc sent me on indefinite sick leave and suddenly I was in the middle of a world of limitations. I realized that I had to do something to care for my body and my mind and slowly this life-altering moment became the baby steps towards what is now ANGAN.

Handcrafted in small, conscious batches, ANGAN was born out of my tireless journey to create the best products in green beauty by combining my research and education in architecture and natural skin solutions based on my own skin care challenges.

Each product embodies the ANGAN promise - all formulations are done in small batches using only the purest, sustainably sourced ingredients for your skin. All ingredience are certified organic or wildcrafted, plant based, cruelty free and vegan. The lineup is packaged in ANGAN signature green bottles complete with outer packaging FCR Certified. Handcrafted in small batches in Iceland; from the wild, rolling fields to your skin one drop at a time.

I’d love to share my insights, learnings and a peek into the Nordic lifestyle as part of the ANGAN journey through this new blog. There’s always so much to share that can’t always be conveyed in a product description label or on an Instagram grid. My hope is that these tips and insights will also be a gentle reminder to take care of yourself, nurture your skin and soul, remember to prioritize you, thereby creating a foundation of mental serenity and balance.
