Our mission is to produce sustainable and natural skincare products that are accessible to everyone.

 

Sustainability involves thinking the entire process, from cultivation and selection of ingredients, packaging, production, and transport to the consumer's education on the importance of choosing natural and sustainable both for themselves and the earth.

Our sustainability policy is continually evolving. It can always be better, and we are still working on better solutions to reduce our carbon footprint. Among other things, we have our production, use recyclable packaging and utilize natural and sustainable raw materials in our products.

 

INGREDIENTS

ANGAN utilizes raw natural ingredients found in Icelandic wild nature that is processed & dried using geothermal energy together with pure organic & arctic ingredients that is sustainably -sourced in our formulations.

We use wild Icelandic herbs that grow wild in mineral-rich soil and mineral-rich Icelandic sea salt, which is a by-product of Saltverk, sustainable sea salt production in the remote Westfjords. The salt contains high levels of magnesium and other natural minerals and is produced using only geothermal energy.

We also use certified organic ingredients that are produced and grown without any additives, and by doing so, we make sure that the products are as free of any additives. The key to good skincare is the ingredients - they have to be the best!

Our products are 100% earth-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free. They are free from parabens, silicone, phthalates, pegs, phenoxyethanol, sulfates, glycols, formaldehyde, & other harmful compounds.

 

PRODUCTION

ANGAN products are hand-made from natural and sustainable raw materials in our studio. We manufacture and thereby control the quality of our products. We produce smaller quantities at a time to maintain the highest freshness of the products.

By having everything in-house, it allows us to control the water, energy entirely, and ultimately carbon emissions associated with the production of our products and zero waste manufacturing principles.

 

 

PACKAGING

It is important to note that our approach to packaging is far from perfect, mainly because an ideal solution does not yet exist. Our goal is to find a way to provide 100% recyclable and biodegradable packaging for our skincare line.

Our products are packed in green glass recyclable packaging and recyclable plastic packaging. Certain parts of a recyclable product might not be 100% recyclable, such as the pumps on bottles. If you want to go no-waste, you can try reusing the pump or dropper for something else.

Outer packaging for our skincare products are made from a recyclable and sustainable carton that is printed using vegetable ink.

We provide refills to our bath salts and are currently working on a circular recycling system for our glass containers so they can be reused again. The bottles then go through a disinfection process and get a new life.
